Fontbonne Baseball Dominates Bears For Weekend Series Win

Game Breakdown
The Griffins wasted no time getting on the board in the first with Thomas Purschke reaching on an error and Daniel Youngblood working a walk. Braeden Dobbs stepped in and doubled to right plating the duo for the 2-0 lead.
Later in the inning, Trey Kueper made it a 3-0 game with a single to center scoring Dobbs. In the bottom of the second, the Griffins made it a 5-0 game on Matt Helm's two RBI single to right.
In the third, the offense kept humming along with Eric Creech and Carter Lee reaching base on two out consecutive singles. Thomas Purschke ripped a single to center scoring Creech making it 6-0. Daniel Youngblood followed with a single to load up the bases and Dobbs was hit by pitch scoring Lee giving Fontbonne a commanding 7-0 advantage.
In the fifth, the Griffins made it 10-1 on RBI hits from Dobbs and Helm. In the eighth, the Bers made it 10-2, but the Griffins followed that up with Carter Lee doubling down the left field line scoring Josh Rhiney, who reached base on a one out single. Eric Creech went on to score on a wild pitch later in the inning securing the 10-run win.
