Baseball Placed Six in SLIAC All-Conference Team
ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) announced this afternoon the All-Conference team and the Fontbonne University baseball team had five place among them. Gavin Kinworthy and Matt Helm were selected to the First Team. Carter Lee joined Colby Shivers with Second Team honors, while Ty Kueper was named to the Third Team.

Gavin Kinworthy and Matt Helm were selected to the First Team. Carter Lee joined Colby Shivers with Second Team honors, while Ty Kueper was named to the Third Team.
Lee was also named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
Gavin Kinworthy, a sophomore pitcher from Imperial, Mo., was named to the First Team. He holds an 8-4 record on the mound with one complete game. Through 79.1 innings pitched, he has struck out 96 and holds a 3.16 earned run average (ERA). Kinworthy is ranked first in strikeouts and wins in the SLIAC.
Matt Helm, a senior designated hitter from New Berlin, Ill., earned First Team. He started in 40 of 41 games played. He led the Griffins in almost all hitting categories, such as at-bats (159), hits (69), doubles (18), runs batted in (RBI), batting average (.434), and last but certainly not least slugging percentage (.679). Helm scored 33 runs and he is ranked second in runs batted in (RBI) in the SLIAC.
Carter Lee, a senior third baseman from Wildwood, Mo., was tabbed Second Team and All-Sportsmanship. He started in 39 of 40 games played. He leads the Griffins in home runs with 13. He recorded 143 at-bats, 35 runs, 43 hits, 47 RBI, a .301 batting average, and a .671 slugging percentage. He is ranked second in home runs and fifth in runs batted in (RBI) in the SLIAC.
Colby Shivers, a junior second baseman from Rolla, Mo., was selected to the Second Team. He started in all 41 games played. He had 153 at-bats, 42 runs, 58 hits, 14 doubles, four home runs, 37 runs batted in (RBI), a .379 batting average, and a .575 slugging percentage.
Ty Kueper, a senior first baseman from Waterloo, Ill. was placed in the Third Team. He started in 37 of 40 games played and leads the Griffins in runs with 47. He recorded 136 at-bats, 48 hits, 15 doubles, two home runs, 35 runs batted in (RBI), a .353 batting average, and a .522 slugging percentage.
Thomas Purschke, a senior center field player from St. Louis, Mo., was named to the Third Team. He started in 39 of 40 games played. He recorded 149 at-bats, 32 runs, 51 hits, eight doubles, five home runs, 39 runs batted in (RBI), a .341 batting average, and a .510 slugging percentage.
