ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Fontbonne University baseball team defeated Illinois Wesleyan in a close game, 6-5. The Griffins improve to 3-2 on the season.
- Blake Van Beers hit a homer. He recorded one hit, one run, and three RBI.
- Eric Creech, Kameron Brooks, and Jack Wood each had two hits.
- Nate Walker had one run and one RBI.
- Ty Kueper went 3-for-4. He scored one run and had one RBI.
Nick Glaser was credited with the win on the mound. He pitched 7.0 innings and struck out three while allowing eight hits and three runs.
Vonner Panek pitched 2.0 innings. He struck out two while allowing three hits and two runs.
