GREENVILLE, Ill. - The Fontbonne University baseball team wrapped up the 2024 season with a loss in the SLIAC Quarterfinals to Greenville University, 5-3.
The Griffins conclude the season with a 14-26 overall record.
Greenville got on board first in the bottom of the fourth inning to take the lead, 1-0.
In the top of the sixth, the Griffins scored three runs to take the lead. A single from Blake Van Beers scored Austin Happel. A double from Colby Shivers scored Van Beers. A single from Kameron Brooks scored Colby Shivers.
The Griffins were unable to score again while Greenville scored three in the bottom of the sixth followed by one more in the bottom of the eighth to take the win.
