Baseball Swept by Spalding at Home
ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Fontbonne University baseball team dropped two games to Spalding University this afternoon. The Griffins drop to 6-19 on the season and 5-9 in league play.
On game one, Spalding defeated Fontbonne, 17-5.
Ty Kueper had three hits and two runs.
Kameren Brooks had two hits and one run.
Gavin Lyday had two hits, including one homer. He drove in four runs and scored one run.
Davin Smith added one hit and one run.
Kendall Horton pitched 5.0 innings and earned the loss on the mound. He struck out four and allowed 11 hits and seven runs. TJ Schwartz pitched 3.2 innings and struck out three while allowing nine hits and nine runs. Ben Swift pitched 0.1 innings. He allowed two hits and one run.
On game two, the Griffins fell 11-0.
