St. Louis, MO - The Griffins baseball team bounced back in impressive fashion on Saturday, splitting a doubleheader against the Westminster Bluejays. After falling 6-2 in the opening game, the Griffins responded with a hard-fought 3-2 victory in the second matchup.
Game 1
In Game 1, the Griffins struggled to find offensive rhythm, managing just eight hits while the Bluejays capitalized on key opportunities to secure the win. Despite the loss, Nate Pruneau delivered a strong performance with a run at the bottom of the fourth. Carter Arenz also had a run.
Game 2
The Griffins regrouped quickly for Game 2, relying on clutch pitching and timely hitting to edge out the Bluejays. Derek Morganthaler earned the win, tossing six innings and allowing only two runs. Offensively, Pruneau, Eric Creech, and Josh Rhiney all scored to seal the 3-2 victory.
The Griffins return to action on Saturday, May 3 when they travel to Webster. The first pitch is set for 1:00 p.m.
