St. Louis- Men's basketball fell to MacMurray College tonight 52-71. Fontbonne falls to 4-10 on the season and 2-3 in the SLIAC. MacMurray is now 8-6 and 5-1 in SLIAC play.
Darius Rucker scored a team-high 13 points off the bench to lead the Griffin offense. Rucker also recorded 3 steals and 5 rebounds before the game's end. Fontbonne shot 35% from the field and 47% from the line while the Highlanders connected 59% from the field and 60% from the line.
Clayton Whitlock recorded 22 points for MacMurray. Teammates Brady Slagle and Luke Bishop each totaled 11 points to aid the Highlanders in their 5th conference win.
Fontbonne returns to the court Tuesday at home against Blackburn for an 8pm tipoff.
