Hall steps down; leaves University next month
St. Louis, Mo. - Fontbonne University head men's basketball coach, Anthony Hall Sr., has stepped down and will be leaving the University at the end of June. Coach Hall's wife, Dr. Tracy Hall has recently been named the President at Southwest Tennessee Community College. The family will be relocating to Memphis, Tenn.
In his first year at the helm for Fontbonne, Coach Hall, a Southeast Missouri State University alumna, directed the Griffins to their first St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament appearance since 2009. "Fontbonne has been a great place for me," comments Hall. "It is bittersweet to be leaving, especially with the big improvements in the basketball program. I wish this team the very best and know they will be even better next season."
"Though we are very sad that Anthony is leaving we are happy for him and his family in this new and exciting opportunity," says Maria Eftink, Director of Athletics. "We thank him for all he has done for the men's basketball program, the athletic department, and Fontbonne University. He will be missed but we wish him and his family all the best in the future!"
Hall was also the Associate Athletic Director and Compliance Director.
