Elsah, Ill. - Fontbonne men's basketball suffered their sixth straight loss last night in a battle down to the end. tied 43-43, Principia went on a scoring surge, posting 19 points to Fontbonne's five. The Griffins trailed by 14 points with 8:44 to play and pulled within seven on a free throw by Greg Gentry with 2:17 to go, but were forced to foul. Principia closed the game with seven free throws to the Griffins' two buckets.
Jared Greenlee posted 17 points and 13 rebounds in his final collegiate road match making seven of nine field goals while fellow senior Gentry notched 15 points, five rebounds and five assists.
The Griffins are at home this Saturday, February 20th against MacMurray and will honor all outgoing seniors in their final collegiate contest at 3 p.m.
