The Griffins (5-20; 3-15 SLIAC), ended the afternoon with a 32.9 field goal percentage. Off the bench, Tristan Baker stood out as he went 6-of-10 from the floor and 8-of-10 from the charity-stripe to tie his career-high with 21 points.
Luke DeLine hit three 3-pointers to end with 15 points and tied Erich Schark with eight boards. Kris McCann, meanwhile, added 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting.
Eureka (18-7; 13-5 SLIAC), shot 44.2 percent from the floor and hit 11 3-pointers in the win. Hank Thomas led all scorers with a game-high 27 points on 10-of-15 shooting. Shea Feehan also had a strong game with 25 points, while Dakota Bennington contributed 14 points and nine rebounds.
In the first half, the Griffins had its struggles from the floor with a 27.0 field goal percentage. On the other side of the court, Eureka went 20-of-38 (52.6 percent) and were paced by Thomas' 20 points.
At the 13:35 mark, Baker's jumper cut the deficit down to 16-9. Over the next three minutes, Eureka rattled off a 10-0 run to lead, 26-9. Eureka's offense stayed hot from there on out and headed into the locker room ahead, 52-23.
In the second half, the Griffins outscored Eureka 9-2 in the first three minutes to make it a 54-32 outing on McCann's lay-up. Later, at 4:49, the team trimmed the lead down to 19 (84-65), however, despite shooting an improved 38.5 percent in the second half, the Griffins fell by 17.
