How It Happened
In the first half, a layup from Elijah Rice gave them a 17-9 lead with 13:42 remaining. After Jake Neubauer made both free throws at 11:46 to make it 18-14, the Griffins answered by going on a 9-0 over the next three minutes as Cody McKinney's 3-pointer extended the advantage out to 27-14.
With 4:06 on the clock, the Griffins led 34-24 on Noah Coddington's 3-pointer. They closed out the half on an 11-6 run with Sean McGee's 3-pointer with just seconds remaining giving Fontbonne a 45-30 lead heading into the locker room.
Fontbonne shot 53.1 percent from the floor in the first and were paced by Coddington's 12 points. Iowa Wesleyan, meanwhile, had its struggles shooting just 39.3 percent.
In the second half, Jarryd Fernandes went 1-of-2 from the line to put the Tigers down 56-45 with 14:33 remaining. Fontbonne started to gain some breathing room at 8:02 as Elijah Rice made his layup to push the lead out to 73-58.
Then, at 6:41, Alberto Torres made his second free throw to trim the deficit down to 11 (75-64). Over the next three minutes, the Griffins went on a 13-0 run with Jared Woodcock's 3-pointer giving them a comfortable 88-64 lead. The team never looked back from there en route to the 94-83 win.

- Jacob Neubauer added 19 points, while Austin Banks was the final player in double-figures with 16.
Fontbonne Leaders
- Noah Coddington and Jalen Wadlington tied with a team-high 14 points.
- Anthony Jones and Sean McGee added 12 points, which is a season-high for McGee. Jones set a career-high with five steals.
- Both Elijah Rice and Caden Clark tied with 10 points.
