How It Happened
In the first half, at the 15:01 mark, Jalen Wadlington made both free throws to give them a 20-15 lead. Greenville was able to retake the lead and stretch it out to 47-38 with 8:13 to go after Riley Simmons hit both of his free throws.
Fontbonne continued to hang with Greenville as Gus Kleekamp made his layup with just under 5:30 left in the half to trim the deficit down to 58-54.
The Panthers, though never relinquished its lead and forced a late Fontbonne turnover prior to the half ending and Austyn Contreras capitalized with a 3-pointer to give Greenville a 76-66 lead at the break.
Fontbonne shot 55.6 percent from the floor and the first half and were led by Anthony Jones' 19 points. Greenville, meanwhile, connected on 43.6 percent of its attempts, including hitting 16 3-pointers. Contreras led all scorers with 24.
In the second half, the Panthers offense didn't slow down with Sontiago Grady draining his 3-pointer at the 14:33 mark to put Greenville on top, 106-91.
Noah Coddington made his bucket with 7:39 left in regulation to make it a 130-118 deficit, however, the Panthers held that double-digit lead the rest of the way and secured the 16-point win.

- The Griffins shot 59.8 percent from the floor and shot a season-best at the free throw line going 33-of-41 (80.5 percent).
- They outrebounded the panthers 56-46 and totaled 94 points in the paint compared to Greenville's 38.
- The Panthers shot 50.5 percent from the field. They were tough to slow down from downtown finishing with 31 3-pointers made.
- The Panthers bench totaled 106 of the 168 points.
Fontbonne Leaders
- Anthony Jones was two points off tying his career-high as he finished with 45 points on 18-of-27 shooting.
- Caden Clark set a new career-high with 29 points on 10-of-15 shooting.
- Jared Woodcock and Noah Coddington tied with 16 points each.
- Domonic Doolin added 12 points, while Gus Kleekamp finished with a double-double of 10 points and a career-high 10 assists.
Greenville Leaders
- Austyn Contreras led with a team-high 41 points off the bench as he went 11-of-15 from downtown.
- Marvin Bateman finished with 33 points on 10-of-18 shooting, while Sontiago Grady contributed 24.
- Kameron Vinsel (15), Riley Simmons (14), and Henry Johnson (13), were the final players in double-figures.
