How It Happened
The two teams met-up at 15-15 on Anthony Jones back-to-back made buckets with 11:40 remaining. The Tigers went on to regain the lead and expanded it out to 33-23 with 4:42 left on Sy Sanchez's made layup.
IWU went on to outscore Fontbonne 12-8 the rest of the way to lead 45-31 at the break. Fontbonne shot 42.9 percent from the floor in the first but went 0-of-11 from downtown and 1-of-4 from the free throw line. The Tigers connected on 53.3 percent of its shots and went 7-of-16 from beyond-the-arc.
In the second half, the Griffins trailed 59-45 with 12:45 left. Then, the Griffins went on an 11-0 run over the next two minutes and eight seconds with Anthony Jones' layup putting them down by three (59-56).
With 8:23 left, Caden Clark made his layup to trim the deficit down to 64-60. After a timeout, the Tigers went on a 10-1 run over the next six minutes to get the advantage back out to 13. That proved to be enough with the Tigers making the necessary free throws to secure the win.

- Fontbonne shot 44.9 percent from the floor but struggled from the 3-point arc (11.8 percent) and the free throw line (46.2 percent).
- Iowa Wesleyan shot 48.1 percent from the field and made 10 3-pointers.
