Game Breakdown
It was back-and-forth action throughout the first half, but consecutive 3-pointers from Caden Clark and Hayden Cole gave Fontbonne a 28-24 lead with 9:01 remaining.
The Beavers regained the lead at 7:23, though the Griffins went back on top 39-38 with just under a minute and 30 seconds left on Anthony Jones' layup. Buena Vista answered closing out the half on a 4-0 run with Michael Demers layup just before the buzzer giving them the 42-39 advantage.
Fontbonne shot 47.2 percent from the floor in the first and were led by Carter Collins and Will Suellentrop having eight points each.
In the second half, the Beavers stretched its lead out to 60-46 at the 14:22 mark on Simon Daniel's layup. After a timeout, the Griffins went on a 11-2 run over the next four minutes with Elijah Rice's layup putting Fontbonne down 62-57.
Buena Vista responded with an 8-0 run getting its lead back out to double-digits with just over eight minutes left. The Beavers remained in control the rest of the way securing the 12-point win.

- The Griffins finished with a season-high 48.4 field goal percentage.
- The team also set new season-highs in 3-pointers made (10), 3-point percentage (41.7), and assists (22).
Fontbonne Leaders
- Brent Wagner led with a career-high 17 points on 6-of-13 shooting.
- Elijah Rice added 11 points, six rebounds, and five assists.
- Will Suellentrop came off the bench ending with a season-high 10 points and eight boards.
- Hayden Cole went 3-of-3 from downtown finishing with nine.
- Carter Collins ended with eight points.
- Caden Clark had seven points and tied for the game-high with eight assists.
