Game Breakdown
The Griffins trailed 10-7 at the 15:10 mark on Kevin Anders 3-pointer. From there, though the Saints went on a 12-2 run over the next three minutes leading 22-9 on Dylan Ingram's layup.
With the Saints shooting 43.8 percent from the floor and the Griffins going 6-of-28 (21.4 percent), including committing 12 turnovers that allowed Maryville to own a 37-21 lead at the break.
The script flipped in the second half with a Brent Wagner 3-pointer at 12:21 trimming the deficit down to 48-39. The Saints got the lead back out to 59-46 with 6:54 remaining, but another 3-pointer from Wagner kept the Griffins in it down 61-52.
However, despite the Griffins shooting 42.4 percent from the floor and connecting on eight 3-pointers in the second half the Saints were able hang on for the eight-point win.
