Men's Basketball Bounces Back With Win Over Eureka

Game Breakdown
In the first half, the Red Devils started with a 13-2 lead at the 14:04 mark on Charlie McKinty's 3-pointer. Fontbonne started to chip away at the deficit and eventually tied the game at 19-19 with 4:49 remaining on Kevin Anders 3-pointer.
Four straight free throws made between Anders and Caden Clark gave Fontbonne the 25-21 advantage at 2:49. The back-and-forth play continued with Eureka reclaiming the 31-29 lead with 19.0 seconds left, however, Clark came through with a late second layup tying the game heading into the break.
Fontbonne shot 27.8 percent from the field in the first, but dominated on the glass having a 30-14 advantage. Caden Clark led with 11 points.
After Anthony Jones tied the game at 36-36 with 17:08 remaining in the second half, the Griffins went on a 14-4 run over the next three minutes with Clark's layup giving Fontbonne a commanding 50-40 advantage.
The Griffins stretched its lead out to 61-47 with 9:04 left on Elijah Rice's jumper. Rice had a big second half for the Griffins going 7-of-9 from the field for 15 points.
With 5:53 left, the Griffins seemed to be in control with a 66-53 lead on Rice's 3-pointer. Eureka kept battling and narrowed it down to a 71-69 game on Andrew Gonzalez's 3-pointer with just under two minutes left in regulation.
However, the Griffins got a layup from Clark on the ensuing possession and made it count from the free throw line in the final minutes going 7-of-8 en route to the 80-70 win.

- Will Suellentrop had seven points and pulled down a game-high 11 boards.
- Kevin Anders connected on two 3-pointers to conclude with nine points.
