Men's Basketball Knocks Off Webster For Sixth Straight Win

Game Breakdown
The Gorloks started out hot from the field thanks to Wynne Brown Jr., scoring 18 of the teams 20 points giving them a 20-9 advantage over Fontbonne at the 13:30 mark.
At the 7:15 mark, the Gorloks remained in control with a 33-23 lead at the 7:15 mark on Jason Coleman's layup. Fontbonne started to chip away at the deficit going on a 12-4 run over the next six minutes and change trailing 37-35 on Domonic Doolin's jumper.
Webster answered on the ensuing possession with Alpha Diallo hitting his 3-pointer, but prior to the half ending Elijah Rice connected on his jumper putting Fontbonne down 40-37 at the break.
Fontbonne shot 38.5 percent from the field in the first led by Caden Clark with nine points on 3-of-8 shooting. Webster, meanwhile, shot 48.4 percent from the floor and inside the paint they came away with six blocks led by Karl Moore with three.
In the second half, the Griffins grabbed a 45-44 lead with 16:15 left on Anthony Jones' 3-pointer. Over the next nine minutes, a total of 11 lead changes happened between the two teams but a 3-pointer from Caden Clark put Fontbonne ahead 65-62 with 6:42 left in regulation.
The Gorloks stayed right with Fontbonne down 69-68 on Rodson Etienne going 1-of-2 from the line with just over four minutes left.
That'd be as close as they'd get, though with Anthony Jones sinking his jumper at the 2:27 mark giving Fontbonne a three-point lead. Caden Clark hit four free throws in the final minutes securing the six-point win.
Jones and Clark came through in the second half for Fontbonne combining for 27 of the teams 38 points. Fontbonne also shot an improved 59.1 percent from the floor.

- The Griffins shot 45.9 percent from the field in the win and hit nine 3-pointers.
- Webster shot 43.1 percent form the floor and sank 10 3-pointers.
- The Gorloks struggled from the line going 9-of-20.
Fontbonne Leaders
- Caden Clark led with a team-high 22 points on 5-of-13 shooting. He went 9-of-10 from the free throw line.
- All of Anthony Jones' points came in the second half ending with 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting.
- Elijah Rice was the final player in double-figures with 12 points.
- Kevin Anders and Brent Wagner totaled eight and seven points, respectively.
