Game Breakdown
It couldn't have been a better start for the Griffins with the team jumping out to a commanding 26-6 lead at the 7:52 mark on Caden Clark's jumper. The Red Devils started to chip away narrowing it down to 32-23 with 2:22 left, but on the ensuing possession Brent Wagner came down the court and drained a 3-pointer.
Fontbonne held onto that double-digit lead the rest of the way leading 40-29 at the break. The Griffins shot 47.2 percent from the field and were led by Clark with 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting.
The Griffins carried that momentum into the second and expanded its lead out to 58-42 with 12:41 remaining on Kevin Anders layup.
It was an even better offensive performance from the Griffins in the second with the team shooting 53.6 percent from the field and going a perfect 14-of-14 from the field as they went on for the 16-point win.
