Game Breakdown
The Griffins remained in control in the first half holding an 18-10 lead with 11:20 remaining on Domonic Doolin's jumper.
Four minutes later, the Griffins led 26-22 on Caden Clark's layup. From there, the Blue Jays went on a 8-0 run with Landon Harrison's 3-pointer giving Westminster a 30-26 lead at 5:26.
Fontbonne was able to bounce back closing out the half on a 15-7 run leading 41-37 at the break. The Griffins shot 42.4 percent from the floor in the first led by Caden Clark with 10 points.
In the second half, the Griffins held onto its lead up until the 14:37 mark when Harrison made his layup to tie the game up, 46-46.
Later, the Griffins led 54-51 with 11:59 left in regulation on Anthony Jones' 3-pointer. Westminster took the lead back a minute and 30 seconds later on Ethan Thompson's 3-pointer putting them on top, 59-56.
Westminster took its lead out to 69-60 with 6:03 left on Harrison's jumper. Fontbonne got the Blue Jays advantage down to 71-67 with 2:54 remaining on Clark's jumper, however, the Blue Jays fended off the Griffins for the win.
