Men's Basketball Defeated Blackburn in a Close Contest
COLLINSVILLE, Ill. - The Fontbonne University men's basketball team earned a win over Blackburn College, 81-76. The Griffins improve to 3-4 on the season.
Once again all five starters scored double-digits.
Kendall Horton led the floor with 20 points, going 8-for-13 from the field and 4-for-5 from the foul line. He blocked two shots, dished in three assists, had four assists and was two rebounds shy from another double-double on the season.
Charles Nelson scored 19 points. He pulled down six boards with three coming from the offensive end. He had three steals and two assists.
Kaden Augustine added 15 points, going 5-for-15 from the field and 5-for-8 from the foul line.. He recorded six rebounds, two steals and one assist.
Jordan Lewis had 12 points and dished in five assists. Casey Crowley scored 11 points and had five boards.
Fontbonne shot 43 percent from the field, 44 percent from deep with seven made threes. They shot 71 percent from the foul line with 20 made free-throws.
