HILO, Hawaii - The Fontbonne University men's basketball team fell to NCAA DII University of Hawaii-Hilo, 103-47, as part of the De Luz Chevrolet Big Island Holiday Classic at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium. The Griffins move to 3-7 on the season.
Charles Nelson led the team with 17 points. He recorded five rebounds, two assists and one steal.
Casey Crowley added 12 points. He dished in two assists and had four rebounds.
Kaden Augustine scored eight points. He pulled down three boards with all three coming from the defensive end.
JP Ruble scored four points.
Kendall Horton, Brent Brown and Jordan Lewis each scored two points.
Horton had three steals, three boards, two assists and two blocks.
Logan Irby pulled down three boards and added one block.
Fontbonne shot 87 percent from the foul-line and 31 percent from the field.
