Augustine and Horton Posts Double-Double at Greenville

The Fontbonne University men's basketball team traveled to Westminster on Wednesday night as they fell 77-60 and then they stayed on the road as they earned a 139-104 loss to Greenville on Saturday afternoon. Kendall Horton recorded two double-double in two games on the week.

The Griffins drop to 7-16 on the season and 6-10 in league play.

On the game against Westminster, Kendall Horton led the team with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Jordan Lewis scored 19 points and had three boards, two assists and one steal. Kaden Augustine added 11 points and four rebounds.

Christian Newcombe contributed with eight points and seven rebounds while Casey Crowley scored six points and pulled down five boards.

Fontbonne shot 30 percent from the field, 23 percent from beyond the arc and 45 percent from the foul-line. Westminster shot 40 percent from the field, 27 percent from beyond the arc and 50 percent from the foul-line.

On the game against Greenville, Kaden Augustine and Kendall Horton posted double-double performances. Augustine led the floor with 36 points, 13 rebounds and three assists. Horton added 10 points, 10 rebounds and five assists.

Jordan Lewis scored 21 points. He also had seven steals, six boards and four assists.

Casey Crowley scored 14 points while JP Ruble scored eight points and dished in seven assists. Christian Newcombe scored six points while Preston Stork added five points and five rebounds.

Fontbonne scored 50 percent from the field, 11 percent from beyond the arc and 52 percent from the foul-line. Greenville shot 50 percent from the field, 43 percent from beyond the arc and 76 percent from the foul-line.
