ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Fontbonne University men's basketball team secured an 86-67 victory over Webster University this Saturday in their last-ever home game, on the annual Battle of Big Bend rivalry.
The Griffins ended the regular season with a record of 8-17 overall and 7-11 in SLIAC play.
Casey Crowley led the floor with 22 points and seven rebounds.
Charles Nelson scored 15 points, had five boards and six assists.
Jordan Lewis had 11 points, nine rebounds and four assists. He was one rebound shy from a double-double.
Logan Irby added 10 points and four boards.
Kendall Horton and Kaden Augustine each scored 14 points.
Fontbonne shot 45 percent from the field, 53 percent from deep and 80 percent from the foul-line. Webster shot 41 percent from the field, 39 percent from deep and 47 percent from the foul-line.
The Griffins fell to Eureka, 98-79
Charles Nelson led the floor with 27 points, six steals, five rebounds and five assists.
Jordan Lewis scored 22 points and pulled down four boards. Kaden Augustine added 12 points and six rebounds. Casey Crowley scored eight points, while Christian Newcombe had six points and six rebounds.
Fontbonne shot 47 percent from the field, 50 percent from deep and 43 percent from the foul-line. Eureka shot 55 percent from the field, 38 percent from deep and 83 percent from the foul-line.

The six-seeded Fontbonne will travel to third-seeded Webster on Wednesday for postseason play in the Quarterfinals of the SLIAC Tournament. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
