Fontbonne golfers finish in 10th place in first spring tournament

April 3, 2012 - The Fontbonne University men's golf team opened their spring schedule this weekend by finishing in 10th place in the Gorlok Spring Invitational. The two-round tournament was held at Forest Park Golf Course and Sunset Hills Country Club.

As a team, Fontbonne shot a two-round total of 647. Fontbonne fired a 315 at the Forest Park course and a 332 at the Sunset Hills Country Club course.

The Griffins were led by Charlie Martin who finished in 26th place out of an individual field of more than 80 golfers. Martin shot a two-round total of 155 with rounds of 75 and 80. Junior Nolan Zoellner finished in 32nd place with rounds of 77 and 80 for a total of 157. Fontbonne's Bryson Potts shot a 161 while Adam Roads shot 165. Freshman Kory Carter rounded out the top five for Fontbonne with a 174.
