Griffins finish in 4th place at McNaughton Invitational

The Fontbonne University men's golf team finished in fourth place yesterday in the McNaughton Memorial Invitational in Jacksonville, Illinois. The fourth place finish is the highest yet for the golf team.

The Griffins shot a one-round score of 311 just 13 strokes off the champions, Millikin University. Fontbonne was led by sophomore Zane Betz who finished in seventh place individually in tournament firing a 75, three shots over par. Freshman Bryan Easton finished in 11th place with a score of 77 while junior Kory Carter shot a 78 to finish tied for 15th.

The Griffins' next tournament will be on April 23rd as they will compete in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Tournament at Forest Park Golf Club.
