Pruden Leads Griffins At The District IV Preview
MARION, Ill.—Rounds one and two are in the books at the District IV Preview and the Fontbonne University men’s golf team stands in sixth at 80-over par 648 (326-322). The Griffins “B” team scored a 133-over par 701 (346-355) for eighth.
MARION, Ill.— The final round at the District IV Preview was canceled due to rain. Overall, the men's golf team finished in fifth at 80-over par 648 (326-322). The Griffins "B" team scored a 133-over par 701 (346-355) for eighth.
Eastern Florida State took home the win after hitting a 24-over par 592over 36-holes of golf. Host John A. Logan College totaled a 38-over par 606 for third.
Individually, Tom Cleaton (Southern Illinois) sits all alone in first after hitting a 2-under par 140 (71-69). Will Pruden climbed six-spots up the leaderboard to finish in a tie for 13th at 14-over par 156 (80-76).
Paul Henderson ended the two rounds at 15-over par 157 (78-79) for 19th place. Sam Kaminski was the next Griffin on the leaderboard after he hit a 21-over par 163 (80-83) to finish in 24th.
Satchel Conroy, who was one of four golfers on the "B" team, turned in his scorecard with a 24-over par 163 (80-83). Teammate Paul Weiskopf ended up six-strokes behind him at 30-over par 172 (83-89) for 32nd.
Matt Rapisardo improved on his first round score by four-strokes to finish at 30-over par 172 (88-84) for 32nd, while Carson King hit a 32-over par 174 (90-84).
Mike Maloney and Josh Jones were also on the "B" team today and they shot a 36-over and 43-over par respectively.
