Men's Golf Wins the John McNaughton Memorial Invite
JACKSONVILLE, Ill.—The Fontbonne University men’s golf team picked up its first win on the year fending off Illinois College at the John McNaughton Memorial Invite.
JACKSONVILLE, Ill.—The Fontbonne University men's golf team picked up its first win on the year fending off Illinois College at the John McNaughton Memorial Invite.
The Griffins scored a 5-over par 293 in the one round invitational. Illinois College shot a 6-over par 294 to finish in second.
Individually, Jarrett James (Illinois College) won scoring a 2-under par 70. Paul Henderson and Cody McKinney tied for second at 1-under par 71. Henderson and McKinney each had a strong round totaling five birdies each.
Carson King scored a 2-over par 74 for sixth place, while Cole Deppe tied for 15th hitting a 5-over par 77. Lake Deppe hit his way to a 7-over par 79 for 24th.
