Men’s Golf Opened Season at Vincennes Invitational
MONTGOMERY, Ind. – The Fontbonne University men's golf team opened their season at Vincennes Invitational this weekend. The Griffins placed eighth out of 10 teams and shot a total of 622 through two rounds. The Griffins totaled 317 in the first round and improved to 305 in the second round.
Campbellsville University finished first with a 564 total (12 under par).
Cody McKinney finished in two-way tie at 12th place. He shot 74 in both rounds for a total of 148.
Alex Kueker finished in a two-way tie at 22nd. He shot a 76 in the first round and a 77 in the second round totaling 153.
Krish Patel placed 27th with a total of 156. He shot 76 in the first round and 80 in the second round.
JP Ruble tied at 28th. He shot 80 in the second round and improved to 77 in the second round totaling 157.
Tied at 36th was Maxwell Louis. He shot a total of 163 after shooting 82 (round one) and 81 (round two).
Adam Cash grabbed the 41st spot. He shot a total of 165 following shooting 88 (round one) and 77 (round two).
In 43rd place, Cole Deppe shot a total of 166. He shot 87 in the first round followed by 79 in the second round.
The men's golf team return to action on Sept. 22 at the Midwest Region Classic in Kansasville, Wisconsin.
