Fulton, Mo. - The No. 4 seeded Fontbonne University Griffins ended their 2014 season 8-14 overall after a loss to No. 3 seeded Westminster College in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Championship game. The Griffins were defeated 3-1 in a tight matchup.
While Fontbonne held the shots and corner kick advantages 16-15 and 7-2 respectively, the Griffins couldn't convert on their chances. Several posts and crossbars were hit in an attempt to keep their season alive. Fontbonne was at their strongest offensively at the beginning and end of the game.
