Phillips earns SLIAC Player of the Week honors

St. Louis, Mo. - Fontbonne sophomore Alex Phillips is this weeks Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week as released by the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference today. Phillips recorded three goals and one assist during the Griffins three contests last week.
Fontbonne went 3-0, including 2-0 in conference play. The Griffins defeated Blackburn 1-0, Spalding 2-1 and Finlandia 3-0. Phillips assisted Fontbonne's first goal against Spalding and scored the game-winner 33 seconds later. He netted the first two goals against Finlandia on Sunday, ending the week with two game-winning nuggets.
Phillips (Chesterfield, Mo./Parkway West) leads Fontbonne in points with nine on four goals and one assist.
