Eureka, Ill. - Fontbonne University men's soccer has won their third game in a row with today's 3-0 shutout at Eureka College. The Griffins are now 4-1 in conference play and look ahead to Saturday when they travel to Blackburn College in the SLIAC's Game of the Week. More information on that game can be found here.
Senior Austin Willenbrock assisted both goals in the first half before he scored the final goal of the game in the 46th minute.
Scoring his second goal of the season was Ryan Curran who notched the game winner in the 17th minute. Curran then came back and assisted Willenbrock on his third goal of the year.
Corey Schmidt scored the Griffins' second goal a little into the 23rd minute of play.
Willenbrock now leads the team with four assists on the year.
Fontbonne's defense limited Eureka to just three shots in the contest while the Griffins rendered off 31. Fontbonne also held a 7-1 corner kick advantage in a game where each team tallied 22 fouls.
