MOUNT VERNON, Iowa.—The Fontbonne University men's soccer team opened its 2021 campaign with a 6-0 shutout loss against Cornell.
Game Breakdown
The Rams wasted no time getting on the board with a goal in the second minute from Mardoche Ntonku for the 1-0 lead. Cornell tacked on another in the 15th minute making it a 2-0 game.
Fontbonne had a couple scoring chances late in the half but couldn't cut into the deficit as they trailed by two at the break.
In the second half, the Rams scored four goals in a 14:00 minute span allowing them to go on for the 6-0 win.

- Fontbonne finished with 10 shots.
- Jared Lyeki, Trent Calvert, Dyllan Haggard, and Tanner Harris had two shots each.
- Alex Wigge and Kaleb Wilson added the other shots.
