Men's Soccer Picked Fifth In SLIAC Preseason Coaches Poll

SLIAC MEN'S SOCCER PRESEASON POLL
The defending SLIAC Champions, Webster University, hold the top spot with 49 points and seven first place votes. Spalding is picked to finish second with 41 points and a first place vote, while Greenville sits in third with 39 points.
The Griffins are coming off a 2021 campaign going 7-11 overall and 6-8 in conference play. Joe Noah returns after scoring four goals and adding two assists for 10 points. Andrew Kneale, Ian Steinkamp, Kaleb Wilson, Blake Ruffino, and Alex Wigge all return as well after scoring at least one goal last year.
In net, Dominic Haggard is back after posting 71 saves and six wins in his freshman campaign. There will be plenty of newcomers this year looking to shine in 2022 with Coach Alberty and his staff bringing in 21 players to the roster.
Fontbonne will have its home opener next Thursday night when they'll host Mississippi University for Women. Kick-off at 8 p.m.
