LOUISVILLE, Ky.—The Fontbonne University men’s soccer team got a goal from Brandon O’Dell in the first half which proved to be enough for the Griffins to go on for the 1-0 win over Spalding.

LOUISVILLE, Ky.—The Fontbonne University men's soccer team got a goal from Brandon O'Dell in the first half which proved to be enough for the Griffins to go on for the 1-0 win over Spalding.
Both teams had its fare amount of chances through the first 25:00 minutes and Fontbonne finally broke the tie in the 33rd minute.
Carter Youmans crossed the ball over to Brandon O'Dell and he headed it past Danny Hernandez off the far post and in for his second goal on the season.
Spalding had a chance to tie the game in the second half, however, Humberto Sanchez's shot went off the crossbar in the 49th minute.
The Golden Eagles totaled 11 shots in the second half with four landing on net, but Dominic Haggard kept the shutout intact for the one goal win.

- O'Dell's goal gives him five points on the season which is second-best.
- Youmans is up to a team-high two assists on the season.
