ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University men's soccer team fell 5-2 against Greenville on Saturday.
The Panthers struck early with Gabriel Sule scoring into the bottom left post off a pass from Napoleon Urquidi.
From there, the Panthers tacked on two more goals in the 33rd minute and 39th minute taking a 3-0 lead after 45:00 minutes of play.
In the second half, the Panthers got a goal from Pablo Valverde extending its advantage out to 4-0 in the 59th minute. In the 73rd minute, though the Griffins got on the board when Ryan Schwentker scored off a loose ball in the box from a throw in by Ian Steinkamp.
In the 78th minute, the Griffins cut the deficit down to Carter Youmans when he blasted his shot from 25-plus yards out over the head of Francesco Ribechini. The Panthers, though tacked on another goal from Joaquin Caceres for the win.
