O'Dell Named To SLIAC First Team, Five Others Earn All-Conference
ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) announced the All-Conference Team today and the Griffins had seven honorees.
ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) announced the All-Conference Team today and the Griffins had six honorees.
Brandon O'Dell was named to the First Team, while Ian Steinkamp and Ryan Schwentker were named to the Second Team. Carter Youmans, Max Sarich and Dominic Haggard collected Third Team honors. Julian Johnson earned All-Sportsmanship Team.
O'Dell, a Dittmer, Mo., native, is the first Griffin to be named onto the First Team since 2017. The junior midfielder compiled five goals and three assists on the season for 13 points which is tied for second.
Steinkamp, a Valley Park, Mo., native, earns his first career All-Conference award after scoring one goal and dishing out a career-high five assists for seven points. Schwentker, a Wildwood, Mo., native, also earns his first All-Conference award after starting 17 games, totaling two goals and one assist for five points.
Youmans, an O'Fallon, Mo., native, tied O'Dell with five goals and three assists for 13 points after starting 15 games. Sarich, a St. Louis, Mo., native, is named to the Third Team after totaling one goal.
Haggard, a Fenton, Mo., native, earns his first All-Conference honor as well after starting 19 games, while setting new career-highs in goals against average (1.79), saves (80), save percentage (.702), and wins (seven).
Johnson is named to the All-Sportsmanship Team after appearing in nine games on the Griffins defense.
