Men's Soccer Unable To Fend Off Webster In SLIAC Semifinals
ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University men’s soccer team had its eyes set on an upset after leading 2-0 at halftime over No. 1 seed Webster, however, the Gorloks scored three unanswered second half goals for the win.

ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University men's soccer team had its eyes set on an upset after leading 2-0 at halftime over No. 1 seed Webster, however, the Gorloks scored three unanswered second half goals for the win.
The scoring opened for Fontbonne in the 19th minute when off a throw in Julian Tilford found Brandon O'Dell and he blasted his shot past Ty Baudendistel.
In the 36th minute, the Griffins were awarded a free kick and O'Dell came through once more scoring into the top left corner extending the Griffins lead out to 2-0 at the break.
In the second half, the Gorloks got on the board in the 60th minute when Noah Abraham scored a penalty kick goal. Webster kept up the pressure and tied it in the 76th minute when Aamahn Murvin finding Nick Thomas on the far post.
The Gorloks took a 3-2 lead in the 85th minute when a corner kick went off a Fontbonne player and in for an own goal. Fontbonne had one final chance in the 86th minute, but O'Dell's shot went out left and it was the Gorloks hanging on for the wild win.
