ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Fontbonne University men's soccer team took down University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis this evening, 5-3. The Griffins improve to 8-5-2 on the season and 5-1 in conference play.
Brandon O'Dell opened scoring for Fontbonne assisted by Tim Jurado to quickly take the lead in the game after six minutes into the first period.
In the 37th minute, UHSP equalized. Two minutes later UHSP scored again taking the lead of the game.
Fontbonne's Conner Heern found the back of the net to tie the game once again, 2-2.
The game went into halftime tied, 2-2.
Fontbonne took the lead once again with O'Dell scoring his second goal.
UHSP tied the game once again, 3-3.
On a corner kick, Alex Wigge found Connor Randel's head who scored the Griffins' fourth goal of the night.
Brandon O'Dell recorded a hat-trick scoring assisted by Ethan Bromaghim. The Griffins took a 5-3 win over the Eutectics.
Blake Hinerman played the first half in goal. He stopped two shots. Preston Stork played the second half in goal and recorded six saves.
The Griffins outshot the Eutectics, 19-18.
