Schwentker Named Co-Defensive Player of the Year, Eight Named All-Conference
ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Sophomore Ryan Schwentker of the Fontbonne University men's soccer team was named St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Co-Defensive Player of the Year, announced the conference office.
Tim Jurado, Brandon O'Dell, Ryan Schwentker, and Dominic Haggard earned a spot in the First Team. Joe Noah, Julian Tilford, and Nick Mormino were named Third Team.
Ian Steinkamp was selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
Co-Defensive Player of the Year: Ryan Schwentker, a sophomore defender from Wildwood, Mo. was named Co-Defensive player of the Year and First Team All-Conference. He started in 16 of 17 games played. He has one assist and one point on the season.
Tim Jurado, a junior midfielder from St. Louis, Mo. was selected First Team All-Conference. He started in 17 of 18 games played. He has three goals, three assists, and nine points on the season. He currently sits in ninth in the SLIAC in shots on goal with 15.
Brandon O'Dell, a senior midfielder from Dittmer, Mo. earned First Team All-Conference. He started in 16 of 17 games played. He leads the team in both goals and assists with seven and four, respectively. He recorded 18 points on the season. He is currently ranked in the top-10 of the SLIAC in every single statistic. He sits in sixth place in the SLIAC in shots with 34, fifth in shots on goal with 20, fifth in goals with seven, fifth in assists with four, sixth in game-winning goals with two, and fifth in points with 18.
Dominic Haggard, a junior goalkeeper from Fenton, Mo. was named First Team All-Conference. He started in all 14 games played. He recorded 72 saves and .800 save percentage. He is currently ranked in the top-10 of the SLIAC in every single goalie statistic. He sits in third in goals against average (1.333), saves (70), shutouts per game (four), and saves per game (five).
Joe Noah, a senior forward from Cedar Hill, Mo. was named Third Team All-Conference. He started in 17 of 18 games played. He scored four goals, two assists, and 10 points. In the SLIAC, he is ranked ninth in game-winning goals with two.
Julian Tilford, a junior midfielder from Webster Groves, Mo. was selected Third Team All-Conference. He started in 13 of 17 games played, scored two goals, three assists, and seven points. In the SLIAC, he sits in sixth place in assists with four and seventh in game-winning goals with two.
Nick Mormino, a sophomore defender from O'Fallon, Mo. earned a spot in the First Team All-Conference. He started in 16 of 18 games played. He recorded two goals, four assists, and eight points.
