Soccer Picked to Finish Fourth in SLIAC Preseason Poll
ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Fontbonne University soccer team has been picked finish fourth in the 2024 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Preseason Coaches Poll.
"We have never really given too much consideration to preseason polls," shared Head Coach Donnie Alberty. "Our conference is so balanced that there really is no easy way to separate the teams and there are so many unknowns that you can't possibly account for."
The Griffins concluded the 2023 season with a 10-6-3 overall record and 7-1-1 in conference play, earning regular season champions. Their season came to an end in the quarterfinals of the SLIAC tournament.
"We are excited to get this last season started and anxious to see how it all plays out," he said.
