ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Fontbonne University soccer team earned a 3-1 loss to Hannibal-LaGrange on their home-opener. Carter Youmans scored the first goal of the season for the Griffins tonight during a penalty kick.
The Griffins drop to 0-3 on the season.
Dominic Haggard played 90 minutes in between posts. He stopped seven shots, with four coming from the second period.
Fontbonne outshot Hannibal-LaGrange, 19-18. With 13 of those shots happening in the first period.
Tonight, the banner presentation took place before the game. Fontbonne's president Dr. Nancy Blattner and Director of Athletics Danielle Doerfler presented the 2023 Men's Soccer Team with the sticker for their Regular Season Title.
