Men's tennis means business this season
St. Louis, Mo. - The Griffins played as close to home as possible when they took on Concordia Seminary on Saturday. Despite losing 6-3, the Griffins have demonstrated new strength compared to previous seasons.
Blake Wisniewski and Austin Sides teamed up for another doubles victory, their second in as many competitions. Wisniewski won his singles match and is undefeated on the season.
Yuri Garcia won his singles match in his first career intercollegiate competition, working out the nerves in the first round to come back and claim rounds two and three.
Yada Demisse, Tyson Beutz and Moe Aljamaan played in their first matches of the season.
The Griffin's next day of competition will be against McKendree University at O'Fallon Township High School on Saturday, October 4 at 2pm.
