Men's Tennis Falls Against Westminster, Culton Picks Up Doubles And Singles Win

FULTON, Mo.—The Fontbonne University men's tennis team hoped to close out its fall slate with a win, however, the Westminster Blue Jays escaped with the 5-4 win.

How It Happened

In doubles play, the Griffins picked up a win at the No. 1 slot with Sebastian Culton and Anh Nguyen earning the 8-4 victory. The Blue Jays won the other two matches to lead 2-1 going into singles.

At No. 1 singles, Culton earned another win over Phillip Udinyiwe. Success continued over to No. 2 singles with Zach Stevens picking up the 8-4 victory. Newcomer, Tristan Baker, won at No. 4 singles over Bryce Loney.

However, the Blue Jays defeated Fontbonne at No. 3 singles, No. 5 singles, and won by default at No. 6 for the 5-4 victory.
