Men's volleyball drops a pair to Quincy
Feb. 14, 2012 - After winning their first game of the season over the weekend against Rust College, the Fontbonne University men's volleyball team dropped a pair of matches last night to NCAA Div. II Quincy University. The Griffins fell to 1-9 on the season.
Fontbonne lost to Quincy last night 25-21, 25-14 and 25-18 in the first match. Griffin freshman Aaron Graue led Fontbonne with 12 kills while fellow freshman Vince Graef had a team-high 20 assists in the first match.
In the second match, Fontbonne lost 25-17, 25-23 and 25-20. The Griffins were led by junior Braxton Payne who recorded a team-high six kills. Graef tallied 19 assists in the second match.
The Griffins return to action Wednesday night as they play at Lindenwood University at 7:00 pm.
