Men's volleyball falls to Lindenwood
Feb. 16th, 2012 - Playing an NCAA Div. II team for the third straight match, the Fontbonne University men's volleyball team fell to Lindenwood University last night 25-13, 25-11 and 25-16. The Griffins fell to 1-10 while Lindenwood improved to 8-5.
Fontbonne was led by Braxton Payne and Mark Kurtz who recorded five kills apiece. In addition to his kills, Payne also recorded nine assists and seven digs. Leading the way defesively for the Griffins was Scott Ginger with eight digs.
The Griffins will return to the court on March 1st when they play University of California-Santa Cruz in the CVC Tournament.
