Rothstein named MCVL Defensive Player of the Week

St. Louis, Mo. - Fontbonne University freshman Zach Rothstein is this week's Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League's Defensive Player of the Week.
Rothstein (Evergreen Park, Ill./Brother Rice) is a libero for the Griffins who totaled 28 digs last week as Fontbonne has started the year 4-2. He averaged 4.67 digs per set last week.
Rothstein recorded a career-high 18 digs in a loss against Benedictine and recorded 10 digs in against Loras. He also tallied 4 assists on the week.
The Griffins play at Greenville tonight at 7 p.m. and are home this weekend in more MCVL action. Fontbonne hosts divisional opponent Marian on Friday night at 7 p.m. followed by Adrian on Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
