Griffins win third game in a row with 3-1 defeat of Adrian
Freshman Patrick Meadie stepped up in the fourth set and racked up some good numbers in his only set of the day.
St. Louis, Mo. - Fontbonne men's volleyball has now won three games in a row after their 3-1 defeat of Adrian College Saturday morning. The Griffins are now 7-2 overall as Adrian is still searching for their first win after notching four matches on the season.
Fontbonne couldn't get the ball rolling as they suffered a 25-22 first-set loss. The Griffins then took down the Bulldogs 25-20, 25-16 and 25-18.
Notables
Sophomore TJ Vorva tallied a season-high 11 kills as he led the team with a .375 average.
Stephen Lendy recorded 12 digs, eight digs and four aces.
Jacob Lendy and Zach Rothstein each tallied 13 digs.
James Sauermann took home a team-high five blocks.
Freshman Patrick Meadie was all over the court in the fourth set, recording five kills on nine attacks, two digs, one ace and his first career solo block.

Fontbonne hosts a doubleheader Friday, February 10th against Ill. Tech at 5 p.m. followed by a tough Lakeland team at 8 p.m. The Griffins then host Dominican Saturday morning at 9 a.m. before adventuring to six road games.
