Dubuque, Iowa - Fontbonne University men's volleyball suffered a tough loss at Loras, falling 21-25, 22-25, 25-23 and 26-28. The loss takes the Griffins to 4-6 in conference and 8-7 overall. Loras is also 4-6 in the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League.
Sophomore right-side hitter TJ Vorva had a great night, tallying a career-high 16 kills on 28 attempts. Vorva was also the best hitter in the game in regards to accuracy, hitting .500 on the night. He also recorded two solo blocks at the net.
Stephen Lendy was second on the team with 14 kills. Kyler van Rossum-O'Connell, Zach Rothstein and Lendy were in double-digits for digs with 13, 12 and 11 respectively. O'Connell also notched 33 assists in the loss.
Fontbonne has now lost five games in a row as they travel to Mount Mercy for a non-conference matchup Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.
