ST. LOUIS, Mo.—For the third time this season, the MCVL has announced Fontbonne University men's volleyball player, Zach Rothstein, has collected Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Rothstein, an Evergreen Park, Illinois, native, led the Griffins to a 6-1 record on the week after posting 93 digs in 22 sets. He's now up to 299 digs on the season and just needs 20 more to surpass last year's mark.
He's currently compiled 3.65 digs per set which places him first in the conference and nationally. As a team, the Griffins lead the nation with 12.51 digs per set.
The team returns to action tomorrow night against Loras. A win allows them to punch a ticket to the MCVL Tournament for the first time in program history. First-serve at 7 p.m.
