Men's Volleyball at Concordia Wisconsin Preview

ST. LOUIS, Mo.—After sweeping past Greenville in its home opener, the Fontbonne University men's volleyball team looks to stay unbeaten in 2019 when they'll take on Concordia Wisconsin.

A Look At The Griffins

• Fontbonne displayed a dominant performance in front of the home crowd on Tuesday after picking up a straight set win over Greenville.
• The Griffins totaled 40 kills and limited themselves to a season-low seven errors for a .452 hitting percentage.
• Individually, Mark Klusman led with 10 kills and eight digs, while Emir Hadzisalihovic, Josh Farley, and Braden Woolsey had eight kills each.
• On the year, the Griffins rank third nationally with 12.93 kills per set and seventh with a .306 hitting percentage.
• Defensively, they're No. 2 in NCAA Division III as they're holding teams to a .062 hitting percentage and rank third with 12.07 digs per set.
• Individually, Mark Klusman leads the offense with 65 kills and a .285 hitting percentage. Farley is second on the team with 61 kills, while Woolsey (58), Brendon Schwartze (48), and Hadzisalihovic (48) each have 48 kills or more on the year.
• Woolsey also comes in at No. 7 in NCAA Division III with his .455 hitting percentage.
• Setter Kyler van Rossum-O'Connell accounts for 280 assists thus far and his 10.44 assists per set places him third overall nationally.
• Zach Rothstein, meanwhile, tops the group on the defensive side of the net with 83 digs.

A Look At The Concordia Wisconsin Falcons

• After picking up a five-set win over No. 13 MSOE last Wednesday, the Falcons fell in straight sets against No. 5 Dominican.
• On the year, the Falcons total 9.62 kills per set and a .187 hitting percentage.
• James Althoff leads them with 94 kills, to go along with his .294 hitting percentage.
• Freshman setter Connnor Muff handed out 221 assists.
• Defensviely, the Falcons are led by Althoff with his 69 digs.
